What Freud Can Teach Us About Item Upgrade

WoW Upgrades – The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

    Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item upgrader mod is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current item level of the item being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

    Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They are purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon or armor. The button will display the preview of an item’s next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item and the current level of the item upgrader kit as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item upgrader Kit has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur’s Gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety means. This is both a benefit and a disadvantage.

In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade item system. After the player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items are from a different set of gear.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is cut too, but it is only available after certain milestones are achieved.

    Crests

Players have several options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific level upgrades for items. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

First, you should know that crests are only available for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with an upgrade path that is different. The most basic and straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests based on the type of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade items routes and steps.

The new currency system isn’t difficult to use, but it brings some modifications to the upgrade process. For example, once an item reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This is to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

It’s also essential to use crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance, it’s a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the best equipment you have, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan on making. This is especially relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character which will only be able to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with high-quality gear.
