A 3 wheeled travel system-wheel buggy is a ideal choice for off-roading, or navigating around town. They are easy to handle and change direction on the fly and have passed all stability tests. The fabric sling seat is set in a snug place inside the frame and not on top as modular seats. This design results in a lower center of gravity, which makes it easier to push your buggy. Mountain Buggy(r) even has an original design sport verso(tm) which is a three wheelin’ inline chassis that expands with your family – from a parent’s face infant carrier to toddler ride-on board.

Are you planning to get off the road?

It’s crucial for those who want to travel off-road and are more adventurous than their buggy can handle rough terrain. You want a good suspension system that can absorb bumps and large wheels with tyres filled with air to provide excellent grip on rough surfaces. MFM reviewer Kath really put this fun-loving buggy to the test while driving it through rough grass, cobbles and dirt tracks with her infant and 3 wheel stroller with bassinet year old. She also she stated that “it tackled everything with ease and was even enjoyable to jog on. The 16” rear wheels and the lockable “swivel” front wheel offer the perfect stability for off-road tracks or surfaces that are uneven. The tyres also have springs built-in to ensure an easy ride.

Sport verso is another world-first. It’s a brilliant single buggy, but it can easily be adapted to accommodate two (or more!) If your family grows, you can still use the same buggy. The seats made of fabric are placed snugly inside the frame at the ideal height to distribute weight evenly. This makes for more ease of pushing and a less hefty curb-pop.

A 3 wheel buggy has one wheel in front and two wheels at the rear and, depending on the model, the wheel can be swivel freely or fixed in position to ensure that the buggy moves in straight lines. Their USP is that they are incredibly manoeuvrable and easy to steer and are often equipped with suspension (which can be handy for difficult terrain) and air-filled tyres so the ride is soft and comfortable. As a result, they are great for everyday use in the city, and will often be equipped to handle kerb pops, as well as being able to go off road too.

However, just like any buggy, it’s crucial to drive it safely and not get distracted by the mobile phone, tablet or other electronic device. It is also essential to avoid driving if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs as it can influence your reaction times and judgment. Be sure to check the footprint of your buggy when it is fully folded to ensure it will fit into your vehicle.

If you’re seeking a buggy to transport you from the park to the shops, you should choose one with a large shopping basket, a sturdy brake pedal, and a massive sun canopy (50plus inches in size) with an extendable pole. MFM reviewer Kath loved the sling made of fabric which has an automatic lie-flat bed for newborns.
