Best 2 in 1 Pram Stroller
With its fancy leatherette handle and convenient additional features It’s easy to see why the TAVO Next glides smoothly over nearly all terrains. It’s not our lightest stroller, however, and it’s a bit more difficult to carry up an uphill climb than other strollers.
The Cybex Gazelle moves like a gazelle, even when packed with up to three kids as well as groceries. The only drawback is that it does not have an additional child board or seat to accommodate growing families.
1. TAVO Next
The TAVO Next is a budget stroller that is able to accommodate children weighing up to 50 pounds. It’s super spacious, and its seat reclines very easily and is laid flat. It’s also simple to close and open and comes with an XXL canopy that has venting and peek-a-boo windows. For 2021, Nuna gave the TAVO an updated harness that comes with Magnetech Secure Snap, which makes it simple and safe to secure with one hand.
While the TAVO is a great choice for parents looking to save money, it’s not the best choice for those who want to use a bassinet or an reversible seat. It’s only able to be oriented one way, and it does not come with any accessories like a stand for the bassinet or rain cover. For those who want a little more, the MIXX Next is a better choice since it can accommodate all of these things.
The TAVO has an integrated suspension system known as Free-flex, which lets you travel near or far, and even take your baby from the car to the curb. The large, luxurious seat allows baby to unwind and drift off into a world of dreams. Parents can also enjoy the small fold-away axle as well as MagneTech Secure Snap.
The TAVO is very simple to fold and is upright when folded, saving space for tight spaces like closets, garages or trunks. It’s also easy to maneuver, and it comes with a convenient storage basket and flip-flop-friendly brakes. It connects with the Nuna PIPA series of car seats quickly, with no adapters needed for an elegant travel set.
2 in 1 buggy and car seat. UPPAbaby Vista v2
The UPPAbaby V2 is our top-rated full size stroller. It is an excellent option for families with growing babies since it can be used with a bassinet or infant car seat and toddler seats. This stroller is versatile enough to take a riding board and transform it into an all-in-one stroller.
The padded seats in this stroller are well-designed for comfort. The recline is easy to use and has four set positions, making it a flexible option for children’s requirements. The foot rest can be adjusted to make the ride more comfortable for the passengers. The canopy is huge and ideal for parents who want to shield their children from sun. It is rated with SPF 50+ and features a pop-out visor, two mesh peek-aboo windows and a flap cover.
Another great benefit of the UPPAbaby V2 is that its fabrics can be washed in the machine. This is important because it helps extend the lifespan of your stroller, so you can get many years of use from it. It helps you clean off messes from spilled juice or food, as opposed to having to to scrub out the stains that are difficult to remove.
The latest tires from UPPAbaby are larger and softer, which results in more comfortable riding. They can withstand rough terrain and minimize the impact of vibrations when driving through town. The brakes are single-action, and easy to operate, with small pedals that are color-coded and compatible with all kinds of footwear.
This stroller has the highest price in our test, but it is worth the cost if are looking for a great all-round stroller that will last for many years. Check out the UPPAbaby V2 V2 on Amazon for more details.
3. Cybex Gazelle
The Cybex Gazelle is a great option for parents who need an additional stroller that grows with their family. It’s classified as a “modular stroller” or “convertible stroller” and comes with more than 20 different configurations for use with various seats, cots, and infant car seats (car adapters for seats are sold separately).
The Cybex Gazelle is easy to move and light, making it ideal for parents who love to explore. It also comes with a large storage basket under it and a variety of attachments to give parents the option to take their grocery items or light shopping with them. It’s a bit more expensive than the other two in one prams but it’s well worth the investment because the quality and function are top-notch.
This stroller has a one-pull safety harness that makes it simple to ensure your child is secured in the seat. It also comes with an adjustable sun canopy that has peek-a-boo and XXL panels. It also has a tray for parents to store their snacks, drinks and phones. The telescopic handlebar can be adjusted to fit the height of parents and the brake is easily accessible which makes it safe for children to operate.
Our mum tester Sophie from London used this stroller with her two daughters aged 5 and 10 months. It was easy to maneuver and smooth on cobbled streets, even when the ground was bumpy. She loved that the padded seat and footrests were ergonomically designed for comfort and the large shopping basket was very practical. She also appreciated that the hood and handlebars’ fabrics could be washed in the washing machine essential for busy parents!
4. Joovy Twin Roo+
The Twin Roo+ is a frame stroller with a minimalist design that provides car seat compatibility. It also comes with an enormous storage container. It’s among the lightest twin strollers on the market. It weighs 24 pounds without infant car seat attachments, which is on the lighter side for a double stroller. It’s a little heavier than both the UPPAbaby V2 double and the Thule Urban Glide 2 in 1 travel system with car seat double.
The Roo+ is simple to use and comes with a quick-start guide. It snaps together easily and can be on the road within less than 10 minutes. It doesn’t come with a canopy built-in, so you will need to provide your own sunshades to your children if they want extra protection from the elements.
During our tests, we found that the Roo+ was a dual stroller that handled well. It is able to maneuver through most terrains easily, but it isn’t able to navigate over muddy areas and gravel. It can also be difficult to steer over and up curbs that are 1 inch in height. We don’t recommend taking this stroller off-road or on stairs, but it does have a great suspension to reduce bumps for passengers.
The Roo+ has a large storage bin under the seat, but it’s hard to access without taking off infant car seats. This is a common issue with twin frame strollers, however Joovy offers an additional under-seat baby carrier bag that can aid in addressing this issue.
In contrast to other top-scoring models the Roo+ does not have a self standing fold or cup holders. It’s a small price to pay for the car storage and seat compatibility, however we’d rather have an option with more versatility. The stroller’s versatility when it comes to seating configuration is a huge benefit. Parents can mount their infant car seats in either the opposite direction or 2 in 1 pram system the same direction, based on their preferences.
5. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side
Delta Children LX Side by Side scored highly for weight and folded size. It’s the top value double umbrella stroller we’ve seen in our review. It also scores highly for maneuverability which is an essential feature for parents looking for a stroller that will fit into small spaces. The Delta is a basic stroller that isn’t equipped with the features that other strollers we tried offer like a large storage basket or a wide recline. However, it’s a great option for families on a budget and for those who need an additional stroller for short-term use, like a day at the zoo.
The LX Side-by-Side is an extremely light and compact stroller. It is easy to turn and push. Its comparatively short frame and swivel wheels on the front as well as cushioned shoulder pads offer an easy ride for your children. The multi-position reclining seats and parent cup holders make it comfortable for passengers.
It also comes with a large European-style canopy which provides shade from the sun as well as some protection against windy conditions. It also has two storage bags as well as a five-point harness for security.
The Delta was assembled in less than three minutes, which is the fastest time of all test groups. The manual is standard and doesn’t require any tools to assemble. It is one of the lightest products in our test group. It folds flat, making it very easy to carry and lift. In our Strollers & Multiples testing, we rate how easily and smoothly the product moves and turns it opens and closes the safety harness and adjusts the brakes, opens and closes the storage basket, and installs and removes a baby car seat.
