World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the weapon’s upgrade template is in %, the weapon will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage every time it’s upgraded.
The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost rises with item’s level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or extra effect when they’re used. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade can be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the item to which it is applied (for example ‘Canthan Armor Insignia” becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.
A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.
Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of an item will be available during the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their equipment even when they’re not sure what can be improved upon an update.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a significant possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the chances of failure, and some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in a radius around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.
In the endgame you’ll often discover that the best way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.
The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.
You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs and there are some rare Glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
The use of Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes that are linked to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrader mod upgrade system allows players to increase the stats of specific items by inserting upgraded components. This is often referred to as “upping”. Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires a different amount of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets advanced in level.
Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When an individual player upgrade a piece of equipment it is replaced by the new item. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you don’t need it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This is a good idea but it should not be repeated often since it can waste resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to modify their equipment. Dolphin’s Gift is a good example, since it grants a buff if the player continuously enters or exits water. The item can be upgraded multiple times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item can be very valuable in PvP as the Best item upgrade version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their equippable gear–armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.
All items are upgradeable up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item, it has an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to revert to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. In addition, the item upgrader Kit will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
If an item upgrader is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its base value. For example an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Players will still have to bring every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
